Welcome to the official website of Lambda Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®! We are absolutely thrilled to have you here! Since our establishment in 1978, we have proudly woven ourselves into the vibrant fabric of Cabarrus County, and we’re excited to share our journey with you!

Our mission is clear: to be of “Service to all Mankind.” Through our sorority initiatives, we are dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of our community.

This year, we’re embracing the International Program theme of "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood!" With six impactful initiatives guiding our efforts, we’re ready to tackle local community needs, uplift families, promote economic wealth, protect our environment, advocate for social justice, and, of course, strengthen the bonds of our sisterhood. Together, we can make a significant difference in Cabarrus County!

As we celebrate 46 incredible years of service, we are more energized than ever to collaborate with community partners and residents. Our goal is to enrich the lives of everyone in Cabarrus County through meaningful programming and service. We are eager to serve anyone in need!

Join the Ladies of Lambda Upsilon Omega at the Kannapolis Laureate Center for our MLK Day of Service!

We will kick off the day by walking in the parade, which begins at 11:00 AM. Afterward, stop by our informational table from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM to learn about the history and legacy of Lambda Upsilon Omega.

As we come together on this MLK Day of Service, let us reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s message of justice, equality, and service to others. His words remind us that, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” Through acts of kindness, compassion, and unity, we will continue to build a brighter and more just future for all.

With this in mind we will be collecting canned goods to donate to the Salvation Army of Cabarrus County—helping provide nourishment and support to those in need in our community.

Let’s honor Dr. King’s legacy by giving back, making a difference, and building a better tomorrow, together.

The chill is real, but so is your chance to make a difference! ❄️ This holiday season, the Generation Next Committee of Lambda Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is teaming up with Cabarrus Partnership for Children for the annual Cuddle Up Coat Drive. We’re collecting new and gently used coats, hats, mittens, and scarves for preschool-aged children in need. Your donations will help keep little ones warm all season long. Let’s spread warmth and kindness—donate today!

Drop off your donations at Panera located at 8034 Concord Mills Boulevard, Concord, NC 28027. In-person donations will be accepted on 12/6, 12/13, 12/20, and 1/3 from 9-11:30 am and 1-3 pm. Can’t make it in person? No worries! You can make a donation from the comfort of your home. Check the link in our bio! Tree Dedication Reschedule:

The tree dedication will take place at the Neal Davis Gazebo, located behind the baseball field at Les Myers Park, 338 Lawndale Ave E, Concord NC 28025.

Folowing the memorial service, we will come together for food and fellowship. We hope to see you there as we honor our dear sister.
