Joining
Candidacy for membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is by invitation only and open to women of
high ethical and scholastic standards who have obtained an undergraduate or graduate degree from an
accredited college or university.

Reactivating/Transferring Membership
For members reactivating or transferring into Lambda Upsilon Omega, we welcome you with open arms.
Please be sure to complete the Reactivation Form or Transfer Verification Form. Instructions are

Monthly Chapter Meeting
Monthly chapter meetings are open to duly initiated members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated Proof of membership is required and must be verified prior to entering the meeting.
Meeting time and location is as follows:

Every second Saturday

11:00 A.M.
Rock Hill AME Zion Church, 3620 Rock Hill Church Rd, Concord, NC 28027, United States (map)

Note: There are no meetings held in July and August. Location is subject to change. Please view the
Events Calendar or Upcoming Events (top right) to confirm.

Visiting members are asked to provide two forms of identification for meeting entry. Primary
identification may include any government issued ID. Secondary identification may include, but are not
limited to:

A current or past financial card (in most cases, the name listed should match the primary ID; exceptions:
maiden name, married name)

A copy of your original membership certificate signed by our Corporate Office

A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference or Boule that contains your name

An invitation from an attending chapter member

Business attire is required for chapter meetings. Business attire does not include jeans, t-shirts, or
sneakers.
